Blue tears (also known as Noctiluca scintillans) is a type of algae in the sea that is bio-luminescent. With deliberate water movement, their fluorescent blue glow is especially prominent. The blue tears that leave the seawater can only survive for less than 100 seconds as it energy disappears and its life is over.
